Planning and safety: we coordinate with your site/shift leads to avoid downtime and can work out of hours.
Visual inspection: plugs, fuses, flexes, enclosures, strain relief and IP suitability are checked.
Electrical tests: appropriate tests for the item class and supply (including 110V CTE and agreed RCD checks).
Labels and records: items are uniquely ID’d and labelled; you receive a digital asset register with test results.
Certificate and remedials: a report/certificate is provided. Minor issues (e.g., incorrect fuses) can often be fixed on the day by agreement; failed items are quarantined and flagged for repair or replacement.
How to prepare for PAT testing day (and save time)
List portable equipment and usual locations; flag critical kit.
Plan access and preferred time windows by area/shift.
Ensure chargers, extension leads and seasonal heaters/fans are available.
Clean heavy dust/grease where practical for legible ID plates.
Back up PCs and plan for brief reboots on IT during testing.
