A tool store full of 110V leads is a different job from an office with the same number of standard appliances. Separating the equipment types helps us allow for the testing time and practical arrangements your site needs.
Send details of three-phase equipment, fixed machinery, forklift charging systems or equipment requiring isolation before booking. These need a scope review and must not be assumed to be covered by a standard appliance estimate.
Tell us about inductions, permits, PPE, escort arrangements and any required engineer credentials. Include loading restrictions, available power and the person authorised to release tools or arrange shutdowns. Requirements and availability must be agreed before the appointment.

110V and 16A/32A commando-style equipment attracts an additional charge because of the extra testing time. This is added to the standard appliance testing cost; it does not replace it.
These extras also apply to jobs with fewer than 50 appliances. A collection of industrial tools is therefore not covered by the £85 standard-appliance package alone.

The calculator helps with standard appliance testing. Industrial equipment carries an additional charge, including on jobs within the 1–49 appliance bracket. Tell us your quantities and plug types so we can confirm a tailored total before booking.
Lower-voltage equipment can still develop faults or suffer damage. Set user checks, formal inspections and electrical testing intervals for the equipment and site conditions. Follow the relevant HSE maintenance guidance and your agreed site requirements; an annual visit is not a substitute for checks between visits.
No. Send the equipment details, connection type and isolation requirements first. We will confirm whether it can be included, what access is needed and how it will be priced. Fixed installations and specialist machinery need a separately agreed scope.
Make the agreed tools and leads available in batches and nominate a site contact. Identify equipment needed for live work and any approved shutdown windows. This helps planning, but testing may still require equipment to be disconnected and temporarily unavailable.
Stop using equipment with damaged plugs, cables or other suspected electrical faults. Keep it out of service for assessment and repair by a competent person. Do not rely on an old pass label or make a temporary tape repair.

** While performing testing our engineers will perform minor remedials to failed equipment if possible to ensure any disruptions to the business are minimised. Any minor appliance rewires and replacement of damaged plugs will be rectified and applied to the invoice. Any more extensive repairable issues will be reported to the responsible persons of the business and repair price agreed before a repair takes place. If an appliance is unrepairable on site it will be taken out of service.
